Summer Camp 2017 Dates:
Week 1: May 30-June 2 (4-day week, Tues.-Fri.) FULL
Week 2: June 5-June 9 - FULL
Week 3: June 12-June 16 FULL
Week 4: June 19-June 23 - FULL
Week 5: June 26-June 30
Camp hours for a “full day” session are 7:30 am.-3:00 pm. View pricing for camps.
Daily mounted activities include riding lessons (English or western), games on horseback and bareback riding. Unmounted activities include safety instruction for the rider, learning about horse psychology, feeding and caring for the horse, and instruction in use and maintenance of tack and equipment, to name a few. Weekly visitors to camp may include the farrier, veterinarian and other professionals in the horse industry. Riders are divided into groups according to their riding skills and/or horsemanship knowledge. At the end of each week there will be horse show fun for family and friends of the campers to attend.
Register early. Enrollment is limited to ten campers per session.
Schedule subject to changes due to inclement weather or scheduling conflicts.
What to wear:
- Riding helmets are a must. We have helmets available for riders who do not have their own.
- Comfortable (not too tight, not too loose and not too short) pants are best.
- A shirt or t-shirt with sleeves is appropriate for riding – no tank tops.
- Footwear should be a firm-soled boot or shoe with a heel.
- Hair should be tied back neatly, out of the rider's face.
What to bring:
- Your signed waivers
- Lunch (a microwave and refrigerator are available on premises for lunches)
- A water bottle
- A hat or cap with a visor
- Sunscreen
- Camera (Time will be scheduled for taking photographs.)
Please refrain from bringing iPods, cell phones, etc.
